# $HOPE token The Hope token is the governance token of the NFT marketplace and powers the official Hope Galaxy NFT collections. The $HOPE token [DAO](https://daodao.zone/dao/juno166nqpdute25frcw5xsg6ax8gj84jcdmsk5grrdecz673pxcjyzlqgnjc0f) stakers are rewarded 27% of the trade fees generated from all the NFT collections trades. Initially, $HOPE was the native token for the Hope Galaxy [NFT collection](https://hopers-io.gitbook.io/documents/hopers.io/hopegalaxy). The team took a community-driven decision to not create a new token for the marketplace but instead use the same one that the community has been supporting from the early days.
